Mysterious Goings on....

I've been away from the blogosphere for a couple of weeks. Had some problems with my router and some scheduling issues and, frankly, I've been lazy.

So today (yes! a Sunday no less) I'm going to share one of my new favorite websites...

Mystery Google!!!!

No matter what you type, you're unlikely to get related search results. But the results aren't random. You get the results for the person who searched before you.

It is interesting to see what others are searching for online. And you might just learn something new and interesting!

The Best Apple Pie EVER!!!!

OK. I have to be honest... I don't like fruit pie. I never have. If you want me to fall in love give me a chocolate cream or a key lime pie.

Having said that, I was reading one of my favorite blogs, The Cooking Photographer, the other day and Laura had posted a story about her Dulce De Leche Apple Pie....

Well one look at the photos and I had to do it! It was going to be a challenge, but one I was ready for...

I took some of these, and boiled them for four hours and let them cool for two. The actual instructions are here.

It made this. YUMMY!!!! I will never use store bought again!!!!

Then I took some of these. I peeled, cored and sliced them ( oh yeah... I bought a new kitchen gadget here ) in less than 3 minutes, mixed them with some love and creativity and This Recipe from The Cooking Photographer.

and got this...

Threw the top crust on and popped it in the oven. Now it looks like this...

I do apologize, but I do not have a photo of the inside because it has to cool for a few hours and then I'm giving it to my friend Eric for his housewarming.... But I'm going to bake another one and take it to work for the ladies who lunch and I'll let you know how it tastes.

I can say, however, that if it tastes half as good as it smells.... Seriously, Deliriously!!!

Having Fat Fingers Isn't Such A Bad Thing...

Have you ever been on ebay and just wished that you could find one of those deals your friends are always talking about? "I got these great designer jeans for nine bucks!" "Dude! I just picked up an xbox 360 for $79!!!"

Seems too good to be true right? RIGHT????? Now with my Handy Dandy Tech Geek site...

Fat Fingers is a website that searches for items on ebay that may have been entered with typos. You type in the name of what you're looking for and Fat Fingers looks for you item, but it looks for item spelled correctly AND with misspellings. if everyone else is looking for the same item but they use ebay to find it it's only going to return the auctions for the items as the searcher typed them in.

I know this all sounds a little convoluted but check it out. It's TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! When it comes to ebay auctions you'll have the upper hand!!!!!

Movie Time with two thumbs up!!!

Tonight I saw Whip It and I'll tell ya, I don't care if it's now getting rave reviews.... it was AWESOME!!!!



but in addition to that, I saw the following movie trailers... and honestly... every one of them looks wonderfully delicious. It's been years since I was excited to see this many movies. Check it out...
