Mysterious Goings on....

I've been away from the blogosphere for a couple of weeks. Had some problems with my router and some scheduling issues and, frankly, I've been lazy.

So today (yes! a Sunday no less) I'm going to share one of my new favorite websites...

No matter what you type, you're unlikely to get related search results. But the results aren't random. You get the results for the person who searched before you.

It is interesting to see what others are searching for online. And you might just learn something new and interesting!

The Best Apple Pie EVER!!!!

OK. I have to be honest... I don't like fruit pie. I never have. If you want me to fall in love give me a chocolate cream or a key lime pie.

Having said that, I was reading one of my favorite blogs, The Cooking Photographer, the other day and Laura had posted a story about her Dulce De Leche Apple Pie....

Well one look at the photos and I had to do it! It was going to be a challenge, but one I was ready for...

I took some of these, and boiled them for four hours and let them cool for two. The actual instructions are here.

It made this. YUMMY!!!! I will never use store bought again!!!!

Then I took some of these. I peeled, cored and sliced them ( oh yeah... I bought a new kitchen gadget here ) in less than 3 minutes, mixed them with some love and creativity and This Recipe from The Cooking Photographer.

and got this...

Threw the top crust on and popped it in the oven. Now it looks like this...

I do apologize, but I do not have a photo of the inside because it has to cool for a few hours and then I'm giving it to my friend Eric for his housewarming.... But I'm going to bake another one and take it to work for the ladies who lunch and I'll let you know how it tastes.

I can say, however, that if it tastes half as good as it smells.... Seriously, Deliriously!!!
